‘CARNIVAL WEEKEND’

Play a Little or Play a Lot – It’s up to you!
You can choose to play on 1 or 2 days
only available to play on weekends ?
this is the perfect opportunity to come along and take part

This health and socially based activity is for both WOMEN and MEN of all Adult ages and skill levels.
It is a no contact activity requiring no previous skill in kicking a ball – you just need a little enthusiasm, be able to walk at your own pace and
the ability to have fun – the enjoyment will look after itself!

12 Games of Walking Football over 2 days

Whether you be an experienced Walking Footballer or have never tried Soccer before, there is a place for you.

There are game opportunities for all skill levels.

You will be playing with and against folk of your own skill level
(unless you choose to playing outside your comfort (skill) level)

Teams will be of 4 or 5 (possibly 6) Players and be comprised of a mix of Players from different playing locations.

A $20 Playing Fee as part of your Registration allows you to nominate in as many of the games as you prefer.

Please complete your Registration by Monday 2 September so Teams and Playing Schedule can be finalised.
(proposed Teams and Playing Schedule will be published here prior to the ‘Weekend’)

There will be 3 games within all 4 Playing Sessions across the 2 days.

Saturday 14 September:-

  • Game 1 — 10:00am – 10:45am (45min)
    For those with limited soccer skills
  • Game 2 — 10:50am – 11:25am (35min)
    For those with no soccer playing experience
  • Game 3 — 11:30 – 12:25pm (55min)
    For those with advanced soccer skills

LUNCH BREAK

  • Game 4 — 1:00pm – 1:45pm (45min)
    For those with limited soccer skills
  • Game 5 — 1:50pm – 2:25pm (35min)
    For those with no soccer playing experience
  • Game 6 — 2:30pm – 3:25pm (55min)
    For those with advanced soccer skills

Sunday 15 September:-

  • Game 7 — 10:00am – 10:45am (45min)
    For those with limited soccer skills
  • Game 8 — 10:50am – 11:25am (35min)
    For those with no soccer playing experience
  • Game 9 — 11:30 – 12:25pm (55min)
    For those with advanced soccer skills

45min = regular game time
35min = shorter game time
55min = longer game time

Registration Information:-

  • Registration and Payment can only be done online via our secure ‘Online Payment Facility’ which you will be directed to after completing your Registration.
  • Cancellations made and advised by email to carnival@wftas.org before Monday 9 September will receive a full refund of the Registration Payment.
  • Should this Event not proceed due to unexpected circumstances, all Registrants will receive a full refund of their Registration Payment.
  • Personal Accident Insurance cover is offered via Player Registration with Football Tasmania – click here for more information.
New Norfolk Sports Centre is the venue

A ‘FOOD VAN’ will be on site during both days with tables and chairs available inside the Centre.
Apart from Players water bottles, food and drink can’t be taken into or consumed in the Playing Court area or adjacent spectator seating area.

New Norfolk in the heart of the Derwent Valley is an enjoyable location with plenty to offer visitors and residents.

Please be aware accommodation and in particular restaurant/eating venues are well patronised on a Saturday night, so we strongly advise making a booking.
